r-LightBioCom joined ECOSYSTEX

In May 2023, r-LightBioCom joined ECOSYSTEX, a growing community of currently 22 EU-funded projects aiming at accelerating collaboration in textile sustainability. By becoming a member of ECOSYSTEX, the r-LightBioCom project joins a long-term community of practice that ensures cooperation between the project consortia and extends beyond the duration of the individual projects.

The r-LightBioCom project has become a member of the ECOSYSTEX community, which brings together academic and applied researchers, technology developers, textile industry experts and other stakeholders from across Europe. By sharing and exchanging new knowledge, latest data, results and best practices, member projects will complement and cross-fertilise each other, creating synergies and added value for these research and industry fields.

The joint ECOSYSTEX initiative was launched in early 2023. It aims to become the central European knowledge hub and focal point for the latest research and technological information related to textile sustainability and the circular economy, and to avoid overlaps and duplication of the numerous research and innovation projects in the field of textile sustainability and the circular economy funded by EU research framework programmes in recent years.
